One of the reasons I’ve always been a Liberal Democrat is our commitment to the environment. Every policy we propose must be sustainable - without a habitable planet little else will matter.
If we have to change the way we live let’s do it gradually now rather than as a panic reaction to a catastrophe we knew was coming.
Under our system of government voters elect not a party but a person to represent
their constituency. So it’s not just the national party policies that matter -
As our MP, you can be sure that I will put this constituency and the views of its people way ahead of any question of party loyalty.
Having said that, I believe firmly that the Liberal Democrats offer by far the best prospects for our part of the world. Rural areas like ours have been loathed by Labour, and taken for granted.by Conservative governments.
It’s time for a change!
